Dr William Manga Mokofe holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Fort Hare (UFH) and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree and a Doctor of Laws (LLD) degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA). He also holds a Certificate in Practical Labour Law from the University of Cape Town (UCT). Dr Mokofe is licensed to practice as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa. Dr Mokofe is an independent researcher. His research interests include labour law, industrial relations, and administrative and constitutional law. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and his recent publications include a chapter in the ILO Centenary Southern African book focusing on unravelling the reasonableness of fixed-term employment contract renewals and the protection afforded to non-standard workers by the South African Constitution.
